Things that make me buy stuff is the prices. I like buying things that are on sale so I could get it at the cheapest price. I like buying games so I could play them when im bored at home. I also like buying technology electronics. I especially like buying things from Apple company such as the iPod Touch.

The apple advertisement is very simple. Its a simple logo of a apple. It is symmetrical.

 The graphic elements is just a centered black album.

How does the advertisement use page space? Is the advertisement full of text and graphics or does it have a lot of

white space?

 The advertisement doesn't use page spaces. It is not full of text or graphics. It does have a lot of white space.

How does the advertisement use alignment to organize its information?

The advertisement puts the apple centered in the middle to align the logo.

Describe the colors used on the advertisement. Do they work well together? Is there a high contrast ratio between text

and background?

The colors used in the apple is simply a black color. There isnt a high contrast ratio bettwen the background. There is no text.
 Does the color scheme add to the purpose or tone of the advertisement? What tone or message do these colors

    The color of the apple advertisement tries t make the apple logo pop out more than anything else.

      There are no people or animals in this advertisement. There is only a apple logo.

 The background is just plain and the apple logo just pops out.

What “story” do you think this advertisement is trying to tell?

Well the name of the advertisements is called Apple so they created a apple to show that that is the name.

The initial goal to this logo is to portray Ahmad Shawqi's birthday. The logo did match the initial goals because it shows his own written words. I would change the written words in this logo and simply make them o's

P2 Design Principles

Emphasis/Contrast is to express a image with particular stress or force.
Proximity/Grouping is to mix a group of photos together.
Balance is comparing or estimating two things, one against the other, and the contrast between.
Alignment is having a picture in a certain line of form.

Visual Design Test

                  The basic design elements are line, color, shape and texture.

                        I Chose this color because blue is my favorite color. All of the colors are adjacent to each other. They all have the same kind of tone. Also the colors hue are similar.

Project 1 Questions

                  The objective of this task was to create a collage on Photoshop based on who you are. You could also do the collage based on your favorite sport, musician, person, or on the school you attend. I decided to use pictures based on Michael Jordan because he is my favorite NBA player. So the pictures I used was a picture of him holding a ball, the Chicago Bulls logo, a basketball with a picture of him, and a couple of his Air Jordan sneakers. I also used a logo of Jordan's signature dunk and a Michael Jordan card.

                  The collage came out better than what I thought it was going to be.  I really didn't know how to start my collage because I had a few ideas but I didn't know which one to use. The most difficult aspect of this project was blending all of the pictures together. I had to make all the pictures backgrounds the same color so they could blend better. If I were to re-do this project I would retouch the pictures more and crop them so I could take out the parts I don't really need.
